I like to joke I'm interested in everything.
Since starting school at UW, I have participated in a wide range of activities on- and off-campus. As a result, I have also had the opportunity to meet and learn from a lot of incredible people. Some of these experiences are below.
Volunteering
Helping others is really important to me. While at UW, I volunteered at a homeless shelter, tutored middle school students, and served as a mentor to high school students through the Dream Project.
Internships
Writing InternIn March 2015, I started working for WordRake, a Microsoft Office software that edits writing for conciseness. At WordRake, I compose and revise writing tips, test new versions of the software, and research various topics for my boss, a former lawyer.

Editorial Intern for eNoteseNotes is an education website that helps students better understand their assignments and provides lesson plans for educators. When I interned there last year, I proofread and fact-checked content and provided support on live-tutoring.

Outreach and Intake InternSince January, I have interned for Treehouse, a nonprofit that aims to improve the educational outcomes of foster youth. My work gives me the opportunity to represent Treehouse at community events, connect with social workers and foster parents to verify information, and edit and write promotional materials.
